Primatech Paper Company, based in Odessa, Texas, is the most notable front in the series and serves as the
base of operations for the majority of introduced characters.
Like many other organizations of its kind, its façade involves warehouses and factories, with an underground labyrinth of laboratories and holding cells. It was first presented as the base of operations for Bennet,it has since been seen as being used to house people (who are often captured) with enhanced abilities, where they run tests and place tracking devices on and in them, and (on some occasions) erase their memory using the Haitian's abilities before releasing them. If their memories are not erased, they have usually been recruited into the Company under the Primatech front. As seen on their logo, Primatech was created forty-five years ago, as opposed to the Company being created thirty years ago, suggesting either a retcon or a Company buy out. NBC launched an alternate reality game centered around Primatech at Primatechpaper.com. The game has included clues and easter eggs hidden around the site that reveals secrets about the characters of the show. Primatech was nicknamed the OWI (Organization Without Initials) by Heroes fans, an acronym that some of the Heroes cast itself has adopted. This nomenclature derives from a comment Bennet made that the organization he works for "doesn't have any initials". |

Mr. Bennet worked for the Company from 1991 to 2006. He was a regional manager and the branch he ran was called Primatech Paper Co. His immediate superior has been Thompson from the time he was hired, but he has also taken direct orders from Mr. Kaito Nakamura to raise Claire as his own child. He tells Matt Parkman that he doesn't work for any organization with initials, so it is not part of any publicly known government agency.The Company has two main tracking systems. Mr. Bennet's division marked people with special abilities with an isotope which can be later used by a satellite to track and find them. In certain cases, Mr. Bennet's division also trains those individuals to assist the Company. Those cases whose power becomes a threat/problem are eliminated. The second system is a girl named Molly Walker that has an innate ability to find people. Mr. Bennet's superior, Thompson, took orders from Mr. Linderman, who had been planning the events surrounding the explosion with Angela Petrelli and others for an extended period of time. Since Linderman's death, Bob Bishop has been running the operations of the Company. |
